A little bit about the music classroom:

In music class students will sing, move, listen, imitate, explore, experience, analyze, classify, create, share, perform, notate, read, improvise, cooperate, and most importantly HAVE FUN!!!! We strive to create innovative, engaging lesson plans which include singing, playing instruments, and moving in each of our lessons. Music is important here at Dolvin Elementary. Studies show that students who receive music perform better on tests involving reading, math, problem solving, and logical thinking.

Attention Chorus Parents and Students:

Several students were unable to sign up for special roles for our upcoming chorus performance.  If you are interested in an instrumental, dance, or sign language role, please click on the page for online chorus signups above and complete the form to submit your interest.  These special roles will be chosen via drawing names.  We hope to complete the drawing as soon as we have completed singing and speaking auditions.  Please remember these musical roles will be rehearsing in the mornings from 7:10 - 7:40.  A detailed schedule will be sent home as soon as results are announced.  Rehearsals will begin next week.  Please e-mail if you have any questions!

Thank you!
