A little bit about the music classroom:

In music class students will sing, move, listen, imitate, explore, experience, analyze, classify, create, share, perform, notate, read, improvise, cooperate, and most importantly HAVE FUN!!!! We strive to create innovative, engaging lesson plans which include singing, playing instruments, and moving in each of our lessons. Music is important here at Dolvin Elementary. Studies show that students who receive music perform better on tests involving reading, math, problem solving, and logical thinking.

Podcast with Endicott's Music Spot Tech Team!

We are thrilled to announce that we have started up a weekly podcast that is student run by my impromptu music tech club. Students collaborate through Edmodo and Google docs to create the script and assign roles. They are adding input on who they want to feature in interviews and even have created both digital and live music throughout the podcast. The students hope to include student work examples in the next feature. We are so thrilled to have kicked off this new weekly podcast! I hope you enjoy!
