1. Song:
Get Your Lemonade –
(Chicken Little runs in, in a panic.)
Chicken Little: The
sky is falling! The sky is falling!
Oh,
what are we to do?
I felt it on top
of my Chicken Little head
So, I know it is
true.
(mic 1)
Rooster: “You
felt it on top of your Chicken Little head?”
Well, cocka doodle doo!
You better put
some ice on it
Or you’ll turn
black or blue.
(mic 2)
Jack and the You
think you have problems, dear,
Beanstalk’s
Mother: Before
we hear you squawk,
I have a son who’s name is
Jack
And he’s climbing
a beanstalk!
(mic 1)
(All look up)
Little
Red Riding Hood: I was on my way to Grandmother’s house
When
I met a big, bad wolf.

blew away the roof!

Out
for a little stroll.

Three
Billy Goats #2: And
what do you think would ruin our day?
That nasty little troll.
(mic 1)
Rapunzel: You
think you people had it bad,
You
should have lived my hour.
It’s hard to keep
your hair in shape
When you’re stuck
up in a tower!
(mic 2)
Old Woman Who Think
of me!
Lived in a Shoe: I
live in a shoe!
I have so many
children
I don’t know what
to do!
(mic 1)
Cat with a Fiddle: Hey
diddle diddle, I’m the cat with a fiddle
And my cow jumped over the
moon.
My little dog
laughed to see such a sport
And the dish ran
away with the spoon!
(mic 2)
Cinderella: And
I’m Cinderella
With the saddest
tale of all.
All I really
wanted
Was to go to the
ball.
(mic 1)

singing the same song, sister
I’m a Sleeping
Beauty that’s blue.
My mind is in a
twister,
I don’t know what
to do.
(mic 2)
Big Bad Wolf: And
what about those pigs,
Who
made me wail?
They made me jump
When they burned
my tail!
(mic 1)

But today is even worse.
(mic 2)

get a nurse!

I was… Little Miss Muffet
Sitting on a
tuffet,
Eating my curds
and whey!
(mic 2)
Spider: When
along came a spider
(with
a sinister voice) And sat down beside her
And frightened
Miss Muffet away!
(He
scares her.) Boo!
(mic 1)
(Miss Muffet screams and runs to the
other side of the stage)

(mic 2)
Student 6: But
things are not much better,
In fact, they’re
getting worse!
(mic 1)
Humpty Dumpty:
(all bandaged up and sitting on a wall)
I’m Humpty Dumpty
Here on this
wall.
I’m Humpty
Dumpty,
I’ve had a great
fall.
All the king’s
horses
And all the
king’s men,
Couldn’t put me
Together again!
(middle)

Little Bo Peep,
(running in) I’ve
lost my sheep
And don’t know
where to find them!
(middle)

(giving
his horn a toot) Blowing my horn,
The sheep’s in
the meadow,
The cow’s in the
corn!
(middle)
Student 7: Wow!
Every time
there’s another verse,
Everything just
keeps getting worse!
(mic 2)
Mother Goose:
(in an apron, stirring a spoon in a
pot; she is very cheerfully, speaking in a sing-song voice)
Peas porridge hot
Peas porridge
cold
Peas porridge in
the pot
Nine days old.
Student 8: Who’s
that?
(mic 2)
Student 9: That’s
Mother goose,
The most cheerful
bird in the land.
She cooks up all
of our favorite meals
And leaves us
feeling grand.
(mic 1)
Mother Goose: Let’s
see now…
(checking
her recipes) Jack Sprat can eat no fat,
His wife can eat
no lean, (looking at a plate)
And yet between
them both,
They licked the
platter clean.
Isn’t that
amazing?
Student 10: Hey
diddle diddle
The cat with the
fiddle
And the cow jumped
over the moon.
(mic 2)
Student 11: The
little dog laughed
To see such a

my! You do have problems.
I feel so sorry
for you.
Student 18: Is
there some way you can help us?
(mic 2)
Student 19: Is
there something you can do?
(mic 2)
(All start pleading with Mother Goose
at once, ad libbing things like, “Oh please, can’t you help us?” “We’re
desperate!” etc.)
Mother Goose: Now
hold on, every one
(looking
at her recipes) And just let me see.
I think I might
just have
The perfect
recipe.

Song:
Make Lemonade –
1. Get Your Lemonade
Sweet or sour
ev’ry hour
Try a glass or two
Just a nickel
For a trickle.
Get your lemonade, I made it for you!
Don’t be bashful
Have a glassful.
It will make your day.
So nutritious
So delicious
Get your lemonade, I made it your way!
If the sky is falling
Lemonade is calling.
If you’re feeling down
It will pick you up!
If you need a quencher
Here’s a new adventure.
Pour it over ice in a Dixie cup!
(spoken)
Get your lemonade!
Group 1:
Step right up! Step right up! Get your lemonade!
Step right up! Step right up! Get your lemonade! (continue…)
Group 2:

(spoken)
Get your lemonade!
Sweet or sour
ev’ry hour
Try a glass or two

2. The Worst Day All Day Long!
This is the worst day I can remember!
The worst day I ever had!
From January to December
I have never felt so bad!
This is the worst day I can remember!
‘Cause ev’rything has gone wrong!
From January to December
It’s the worst day all day long!
Ev’rything is awful
Ev’rything is blue
Ev’rything is crummy
And I don’t know what to do!
Life is really lousy
And I don’t mean to “complain”
But sunny days are cloudy
Ev’ry Saturday it rains!
This is the
worst day I can remember!
The worst day I ever had!
From January to December
I have never felt so bad!
This is the worst day I can remember!
‘Cause ev’rything has gone wrong!
From January to December
Oh, it’s as terrible as I remember!
My day just hasn’t really been a gem, sir!
It’s the worst day all day long!
3. Recipe for Joy
SOLO:
Give me a cup of love and friendliness!
Throw in a little bit of tenderness.
Stir it around with lots of happiness
‘cause that’s the recipe of joy!
Give it a pinch of glee and lots of sun
Plenty of harmony for ev’ryone!
All of us will agree to share the fun
‘cause that’s the recipe for joy!
We all have the makings of joy in our hearts.
Just find the right ingredients right from the very
start.
If you’ve got hurt feelings from something you were
called
Just check your list of ingredients
And take it with a grain of salt!
Give it a pinch of glee and lots of sun.
Plenty of harmony for ev’ryone!
All of us will agree to share the fun
‘cause that’s the recipe,
We’ll tell ya, that’s the recipe,
Believe that’s the recipe
For joy, joy, joy!
4.
A
Change of Heart
It doesn’t take a lightening blot to fire a little
spark
It doesn’t take a magic lamp to peer into the dark.
It doesn’t take a shooting star to make a dream
come true
It only takes a willingness that’s there inside of
you.
It doesn’t take a miracle to make a brand new
start.
It only takes a little love to have a change of
heart.
It doesn’t take a lightening blot to fire a little
spark
It doesn’t take a magic lamp to peer into the dark.
It doesn’t take a shooting star to make a dream
come true
It only takes a willingness that’s there inside of
you.
It doesn’t take a miracle to make a brand new
start.
It only takes a little love to have a change of
heart.
5.
Make
Lemonade
When the world hands you roses, give’em a smell.
When one window closes, one will open as well!
When the world give you sunshine, don’t live in the
shade
And when the world gives you lemons, make lemonade!
When world gives you money, spread it around.
When bees give you honey, slurp it up by the pound!
When the grass is the greenest, enjoy ev’ry blade
And when the world gives you lemons, make lemonade!
Most things aren’t as bad as they seem.
Sour can turn out sweet.
Nightmares turn out only a dream.
Tricks can be a treat!
(spoken) That’s
why we repeat!
When the world drives you crazy, go with the flow
Be fresh as a daisy and nobody will know.
When the band starts aplayin’ join the parade
And the world gives you lemons, make lemonade!
Make lemonade!
Make lemonade!
Make lemonade!
