A little bit about the music classroom:

In music class students will sing, move, listen, imitate, explore, experience, analyze, classify, create, share, perform, notate, read, improvise, cooperate, and most importantly HAVE FUN!!!! We strive to create innovative, engaging lesson plans which include singing, playing instruments, and moving in each of our lessons. Music is important here at Dolvin Elementary. Studies show that students who receive music perform better on tests involving reading, math, problem solving, and logical thinking.

February Sub Plans - 2021

 February Plans:

Remember, if a class is marked as "Remote" I will leave them plans. You are only responsible for teaching face to face kids. Students in "Simultaneous" classes means that some kids are face-to-face in the classroom, while others are learning remotely at home. I will leave plans for kids at home. :) These plans will be great for students in the face-to-face classroom.

For each class, please go through the following process:

1. Show the Quaver Video on Tempo (16 mins)

2.  Show the video of movement and awareness of weight. You will stop the video before the group movement (since it isn't socially distant). (Stop around the 20 min. mark)

3.  Have students (2nd - 5th) complete Seesaw Activities that aren't complete (optional)
  • Go to ClassLink and the Seesaw
  • Go to Music Class and Activities
  • Complete activities in the To Do section
4. IF TIME REMAINS - 2nd - 5th graders may go to Classlink and Quaver's website to view activities or explore on the site. K & 1st - you may read them some stories from any of the children's books on the back bookshelf.
